Development of Nanotechnology in Textiles

The subject of nanotechnology in textiles is as vast as the universe so to restrict its description to a few words is merely impossible. Nanotechnology is, broadly speaking, the science of manipulating and rearranging individual atoms and molecules to create useful materials. "Nano" textiles are those designed and engineered on the nanoscale to create specific functions. These nano functions are very diverse and range from UV protection and antibacterial functions to moisture management. This book summarises the recent development of nanotechnology in textile areas.
