Development and New Changes of Mid-Tang Poetry

Development and new changes are the main trend of poetry creation in the middle Tang Dynasty. This paper tries to make a deep and systematic study on the general characteristics and the formation causes of mid-Tang poetry on the basis of the broad background of mid-Tang culture. The introduction of this book emphasizes the important position of mid-Tang poetry in the history of Chinese poetry, and points out the dilemma of "e;hardly continuing the extreme prosperity"e; faced by mid-Tang poets and the necessity of opening up a new way in poetry creation through a simple review of the mid-Tang poetry.
