Destination: Holy Land

Sometimes, dreams do come true. For Bob Cyphers, his dream always was to not just go to the Holy Land, but to try to experience it just like Jesus did. Could he be baptized in the Jordan River, in the same spot where Jesus was? Was it possible to find the cove, in the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus found his fishers of men? Cyphers did not just want to see the garden of Gethsemane; he wanted to be there, alone, by an ancient olive tree, and pray like Jesus did. He did not just want to see the Way of the Cross to Calvary; he needed to carry it, with tears running down his face. And when he knelt and saw Jesus on the cross at the Holy Sepulcher, would he be able to handle his feelings? And when he returned home, could he write those stories, could he take readers with him, would they smile and cry every step of the way? There was so much he wanted to share. And then the bombs began falling on Israel . . .
