The poetry of Yrene Santos is part of the human tradition rooted in historical, Latin-American and personal "female discomfort." Her lyric expresses a testimony resistant to an exacerbated burden of anguish, bitterness and "Desolation" of the echo of the vibrant voice of the female figures of mother and / or lover. In this space, there is no lack of sensitivity, hope or optimism. I clean my circle to move forward, longing for a blurred route of human justice that sounds rather because of its absence.
In her work, After the Rain, the poetic "I" appears embedded in a narrative flow where the lyric alternates with the narration, creating a semi-autobiographical braid of fiction.
Her verses impact a wave of suspicious pain in which exhaustion and serenity embrace in the flow of an inner tune, capable of evoking in our souls the mystical melody of the eternal Scheherazade.
