Deplorable Me!

"Deplorable" was a word used to describe me and many others, spoken by someone I certainly had never met. It hurt my heart. When it made reference to family and friends, the hurt deepened. My message is simple. Yes, it is based on my belief that all are worthy of life and dignity. It's a belief that we are created in the image of our Creator. The government and politicians cannot define me. We, as part of the human family, need to honor, love, and respect each other regardless of race, creed, age, or physical limitations. I am commanded by my God to do the same. I pray my words will lift and bless the reader. I am a child of God, first and foremost. I am a mom, a grandmother, a retired RN, and a retired legal nurse consultant. I have volunteered for the Red Cross, Union Gospel Missions, and have been involved with both pregnancy counseling and abused women and children's shelters. I have also worked prison ministry and currently do public speaking and writing. I am blessed to have worked each position, but my favorite job was "Mom."
