Deforestation and Socio-Economic Environment

This book explores the issue of deforestation in the villages and communities residing in the region which are largely dependent on the national resource, primarily on forests. This discusses at length the role being played by the green cover and also the effects which have come on the surface of survivalhood after cutting of trees. The emphasis has neutrally been made on both negative as well as positive impacts of deforestation. The research undertaken indicates that even after being under darkness of illiteracy, the dwellers are environmentally aware; and are in a need of formal support by the government and semi-formal support by the NGOs. This book will be a functional source for academicians, researchers and environmentalists and shall provide workable and community oriented suggestions to ungrade the environmental conditions.
