Frederick Lawton was an educated man from Sharpsburg, Maryland, who only wanted to do the right thing for his country by joining the Union forces and fighting the menacing southern states who wanted to tear his country apart. Louise Pentigrass was a beautiful woman who only wanted Frederick as her husband after their paths once again crossed prior to Frederick shipping out for the 2nd Maryland Infantry.
