David's Stone

Readers of this book will meet Caden, a young baseball player, who is dealing with the loss of a game that he desperately wanted to win. He is angry and upset and is hurt that his prayers to God, to help him win the game, did not get the win he wanted. Helping him to deal with his loss and anger, his grandfather tells him a story about a young boy named David, who like Caden wanted to win a very important game, in his small village in Central African Republic. Through the eyes of his grandfather, Caden learns how perseverance can help him eventually win a game. More importantly he also learns perseverance will help him have the right attitude toward success and failure, as well as the character that God desires for him to develop.
