The book "Innovations and Anecdotes" contains most literary genres: articles, thoughts, poems, and plays. This diversity and literary richness does not come only for enjoyment, and it is not devoid of it, but rather to benefit from values, give priority to the principles of independence, raise national self-esteem, and confront intellectual pretenders such as the articles "Independence and the Fezzes" and "You have your Lebanon and I have my Lebanon." In it, he confronts the contradictions and ills of Eastern society, puts an end to that unjustified narcissism, and reminds us of our intellectual figures through a collection of their articles, enriching them with portraits of them with his brush. We also see Sufi glimpses in most of the book''s titles and content, such as "My Soul Preached to Me," and the play "Iram Dhat al-Imad."
