Contemporary Rhetoric and the Arabic Language

When our language is deprived of modern cultural words, the nation is also deprived of modern living. We still live by the words of agriculture, and we do not know the words of industry. Therefore, our mentality is old, rigid, dull, and goes back to the past. The call to a modern language is, at its core, a call to modern living. Because when the writer makes it permissible to embrace scientific words as they are without translation, he is in fact making permissible the civilization of science, logic, and industrial sophistication, instead of the civilization of literature, beliefs, and agriculture.It is clear that language is the fruit of the society whose members speak it, but society is also the fruit of the language whose words determine their mental and emotional behavior for its members.
