His vet shows him an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor which he immediately falls in love with and learns how to use. Cody wears his new technology proudly and learns he can still do everything he did before. The author uses photographs that she took herself to show warmth, compassion, and a special personal touch by using her dog.
