Chronicles of Danvers

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The following pages were written in 1898, with the intention of bringing out a book for the use of the public schools in the study of local history. Circumstances prevented its publication at the time, and it is now offered, with much additional matter, as a chronological record of the principal events in the nearly three hun dred years of community life in this important section of old Essex County.
