Each year on New Year''s Day, elves from all parts of the North Pole gather in the village of Nicholas Parish, hoping to compete in some of the strangest events ever created. The prize? Being named Mr. Kringle''s Christmas tailor! As Christmas tailor, it is the winner''s responsibility to make Mr. Kringle''s colorful outfit for Christmas Eve. Elwin Fyne is among the tailors hoping to compete. With the help of his grandfather, who was once a finalist himself, Elwin begins his training. His parents hate the tournament though, so he has to practice in secret.Not so with Cray Cragmore, who compels his two grandnieces and grandnephew to enter. For Mr. Cragmore, winning the Christmas Tailor Contest is all about the prestige and bragging rights that go along with it. With all three of his wards signing up, the odds of one being selected as a finalist have more than doubled. As for Elwin, will he be one of those lucky ten to have his name drawn? If so, will all his years of training pay off?
