At the same time, he pays attention to the political guarantee of the Jesuit missions in China in the 17th century, and the disputes between Chinese and Western calendars in the administration of astronomy. It not only pays attention to the overall research at the macro level, but also strives to put forward new insights on important events such as the reform of Chongzhen, the occurrence and reversal of the Kangxi calendar, the issuance of Rongjiao orders, and a comprehensive, systematic and dialectical study of China and the West battle over the calendar during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
