As campers begin arriving at Camp Candle Lake, they are looking forward to campfires, smores, swimming, and exploring the woods. Eleven-year-old Izzie, the newest camper, is smart and socially awkward. As she listens to instructions on the first night of camp, the nervous girl just hopes she will fit in.When threatening letters start appearing on cabin doors, everyone is a suspect, including Izzie.
