Brief Narrative of an Unsuccessful Attempt to Reach Repulse Bay

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. In order that the object, and a few other particulars, of my voyage towards Repulse Bay, may be fully understood to my readers, I venture to solicit their attention to a short preface, which is intended to explain such circumstances as are essential to those who do me the honour of perusing my journal.
