Adil Zulfikarpasic is one of the individuals who embodies the Balkan turmoil of the late 20th century. In this volume he relates his experiences, especially his attempt, and failure, to achieve the peaceful transition of Bosnia-Herzegovina from a socialist state into a modern civil society.
