I am sitting at home in Cape Town when I receive a chilling text message from my sister. She is 8691 kilometers away in Perth, Australia and writes.transported by ambulance to hospital for some blood disorder. I have this terrible feeling that our lives are going to be turned upside down. I have to make an emergency flight to Australia to be at her side and after 9 excruciating days of pleading, bribing and maxing out my credit card I am finally on my way to Oz.
