The Tembet collection brings the trajectories and reflections of great indigenous thinkers in Brazil, in books that bring together essays, statements, and interviews.Tembet is the first collection of books about indigenous thinkers in the world. The tribute in this volume is to Eliane Potiguara, a precursor of the struggle for the rights of indigenous women and of the indigenous literature movement. Eliane was the founder of Grumin (Indigenous Women's Group), the first indigenous women's institution in Brazil, back in the 1980s, and later, in the 1990s, an indigenous rights consultant to the UN.
