The problem is that one of these resources, oil, is a finite resource which is considered to be “the lifeblood on which the global economy depends” (Oxfam 2008: 5).That is, the main cause of the current climate crisis is simultaneously a factor that awakens massive concerns given its imminent depletion (BUND et al. 2008: 44).In light of this situation, the biofuels produced from biomass of renewable resources are presented as the answer to the crises above mentioned.
