What happened during the Summer of 1986? Cliff Knight ripped away from his new girlfriend, Vivica Weston! Sent to go live with his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin in Amsterdam. Vivica is stuck in Grosse Pointe, Michigan for the Summer, or is she? When Vivica takes on the catwalk during a local fashion show, international modeling agent, Myles Madwell of the Madwell Modeling Agency takes a liking to her look. He offers her the chance to model in NYC for the summer. The only issue? The only person available to chaperone is town bigot, Mrs. Templeton! Meanwhile, in Amsterdam Cliff learns some hard truths about his family and grows close to his cousin Luke. Things are going great until Luke''s girlfriend Petra starts to get close with Cliff too.
