Banking Structures in Major Countries

This volume describes the banking structure in ten major countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Germany, Japan, China, France, Italy and Switzerland. It will serve as a reference guide for practitioners and academics in banking and finance. The book is particularly relevant as globalization of financial markets continues and one chapter is dedicated solely to the European economic integration in 1992. Each country is treated in a chapter whose author, or at least one of the co-authors, is a resident of the country in question.
