Artificial neural network technology is becoming an integral part of adaptive manufacturing systems and will have profound impact on the design of autonomous engineering systems over the next few years. The purpose of this book is to introduce the newly emerging technology of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and demonstrate its use, with examples, in intelligent manufacturing systems.
