Applied QM systems in Styrian public nursing homes

Most people in need of care express the desire to be cared for at home for as long as possible. This is not always possible, and moving into a care facility is unavoidable. Currently, there is already an excess capacity of beds in care facilities in Styria. As a result, not all care facilities are fully occupied. This has led to increased competition and a competitive mindset in this sector. The introduction of quality management systems is intended to make the quality of care facilities more transparent and easier to compare. Quality certificates are intended to ensure the long-term success of care facilities.
