Anthology of Li Chengjun (The Second Volume)

Li Chengjun is an indigenous and successful intellectual in Macao. Over the past half century, he ran a newspaper, wrote articles and made speeches as a newspaperman, writer and social activist. With rich practices and theories of running a newspaper, he was dedicated to promotion of creation and development of literature in Macao and wrote lots of reviews about literature and art. His three works complete many years ago, including Collection of Literature in Macao, Essays in the night Weiyang Building, and Life is like poems and a large numbers of scattered works, which had an influence on the society.His works symbolize the characteristics of the times and the features of Macao. It is a pity that we cannot have a panoramic view of his works though the separate editions of his three works have been published for a long time. Now I reorganize and edit his works and publish them with two systematic volumes. The first volume mainly talks about the political comment and review while the second volume focuses on the literary review, the relationship between teachers and students and artistic anecdotes. The purpose of this arrangement is to make readers get a comprehensive knowledge of Li Chengjun and his articles and then know the structure of local culture in modern Macao and the social development process.
