Fara, a fifteen-year-old boy from the rural village of Pulima, Ghana, is one of the thousand most gifted children initiated into the Soul School of the Ancestors in Nibinooland-the land of Africa. Chosen at birth and trained his whole life in the Soul School tradition alongside his modern education, Fara is now at a critical crossroads: he has eleven days to search for Navala Loori Pipa, the most powerful leaf in the land.
