All I could think of as my heart thumped in my chest and the rumble of the 900 stampeding buffalo rocked my vehicle was 'Struth Am I in trouble now '

Mary fell in love with Joe Groves, horse-breaker, drover and rodeo rider in her late teens. Then, during their 40 years surviving together in a primitive outback wilderness, Mary learned to operate helicopters, cattle trucks, and anything else it took to assist Joe and keep their family of six afloat. During the exciting and challenging life, they managed and owned an array of cattle stations, driven by the belief that if you want something badly enough, then tenacity, perseverance, and a sense of humour are essential.
