This book is aimed at anyone interested in music therapy with the elderly. It describes a music therapy encounter between two people - representatives of two different generations, genders, nations and cultures - two people who have found their way in a country that is foreign to them. In three parts, concepts such as being old and foreign, retirement homes and dementia, home and migration are presented in a slightly different way than usual. Music is the constant companion. In a moving and fascinating way, the book shows how music therapy can be used in the last phase of human life. Music therapy overcomes alienation on various levels.
