The brothers Mikhail and Fyodor Dostoevsky wanted to be engaged in literary creativity from their youth, but their father believed that the writer's work would not be able to ensure the material well-being of his sons and brought them to St. Petersburg in preparation for entering the Main Engineering School. In The Diary of the Writer Fyodor Dostoevsky recalled how on the way to St. Petersburg "e;I was constantly writing in my mind a novel from the Venetian life."e; Classic of Russian literature and one of the best novelists of world significance, Fyodor Dostoevsky was recognized after his death. His work had a significant impact on the world literature, and the most famous novels of the writer were included in the list of the 100 best books of the Norwegian Book Club.
