He is afraid he will be embarrassed in front of his friends, coming with the realisation of his situation, Alex breaks down in tears to his mother when faced with his issue. Alexs mum and his older brother come up with an exercise plan that will help Alex with his wieght problem. Alex follows all his brothers instruction and also the whole family get behind Alex by taking part in weekend activities. After a few weeks of hard work, Alex begins to regain his confidence, and also noticed that he had lost weight. When the teacher asks him if he was going to take part in 'Sports Day' Alex informed his teacher that he had put his name down for all the days events. At the end of the day Alex is awarded a trophy for been the only child in his age group to take part in all events. This gives him the final shot of confidence. Walking off the stage as Alex walked towards his family he noticed them all standing ther with big smiles, John walked up to Alex and said,"e;Didnt i tell you to never give up on yourself"e;, picking him up and giving him a big hug.
