Alcatraz

Max Brand, whose real name was Frederick Schiller Faust, was a prolific author primarily known for his contributions to Western fiction. He wrote hundreds of novels, short stories, and screenplays, many of which featured iconic characters and explored themes of honor, justice, and the rugged American frontier. Some of his notable works include "Destry Rides Again," "The Untamed," "Silvertip," and "The Night Horseman."

As for Alcatraz, it is a small island located in the San Francisco Bay, famously known for its history as a high-security federal prison. It operated as a penitentiary from 1934 to 1963 and housed some of America's most notorious criminals, including Al Capone and Robert Stroud, also known as the "Birdman of Alcatraz."
