Agricultural Research Updates. Volume 45

This volume contains nine chapters that detail updates in agricultural research. Chapter One summarizes the effects of climate change on agriculture, livestock production, the post-harvest management of fresh produce, food quality, and food security. Chapter Two adapts the interdisciplinary methodology of the New Institutional Economics and makes an analysis and assessment of the institutional structure of WTP sludge utilization in Bulgarian agriculture. Chapter Three discusses the availability of the generated transcriptome data for abiotic stress response in pigeon peas. Chapter Four describes the characterization of extra cellular enzymes from nematophagous fungi, the expression and regulation of some enzymes, and the genome and proteomic analyses of the nematode-trapping fungi. Chapter Five discusses plant growth regulators. Chapter Six presents the advantages and disadvantages of calcareous soils. Chapter Seven explains some of the important issues related to fungicides. Chapter Eight discusses the issue of diffuse pollution in Turkey's livestock production. Lastly, Chapter Nine studies the distribution of nucleosomes in the basic topology of chromosomes, as well as the states of mitDNA and the effect of shock low temperatures on genes.
