Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. It will not be necessary, at this point, to say more about the origin of the Australian black man; I now proceed to examine him in his native environ ment, as he grows up from birth to manhood, and thence from manhood to old age. If the limits assigned to this pamphlet had permitted, additional sections could have been introduced, treating of the ''karaji'' or medicine-man, spirit world, mythology, the physical features of the natives, their moral and intellectual qualities, their cave-paintings and other specimens of art, their language, as well as the probable origin and migrations of the Australian race. But, as it is, many of my facts and arguments are here produced for the first time and the same facts are sometimes referred to in two or more sections, for they belong to each.
