A Princess of Mars

John Carter, a Confedrate Veteran, finds himself transfered from Arizona to Mars. There, on Barsoom as the inhabitants of Mars call their planet, he finds himself captured and must fight for his freedom and save the entire planet from destruction. He also finds love and many adventures among the Red Men, Green Men and White Apes of Barsoom.

Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic Pulp Sci-Fi story is among the first novels taking place in Space. And it's been an inspiration to generations of Sci-Fi authors since it first was published in 1912.
