A Gray Endeavor

What if at the moment of conception, infants are created as wondrous and complete beings-filled with an infinite potential? But at the event of their birth, the many aspects that create that life separate from the child to take physical form, and walk among us with wants and wills of their own? "A Gray Endeavor" is the story of a young man who learns of this long forgotten secret, and is forced to embark on the quest to unite with all of the lost and wandering pieces which had fled from him at birth. It is a journey filled with danger, as he must combat secret assassins, sent by a mysterious and foreboding master, as well as the threat of corruption from the very thing he seeks. In this journey, he must align himself with strange allies to face even stranger foes, and fight through many hardships, if he is to gain the gift promised upon completion of his quest. However he has been warned; that victory does not always bring power, power does not always bring joy, and joy rarely comes without a price.
