This personal narrative tells a real story of one woman's fight for motherhood and her family, describing how the University of Cambridge saved her life-twice. Author Kasia Tarnowska always dreamed big. The word impossible didn t exist in her dictionary, and her dream was to become a mum. She had no idea what was around the corner and the perils that dream would bring. During labour, she had a significant haemorrhagic stroke six centimetres by four centimetres. A host of difficult experiences followed, but Kasia didn t falter. In her own words, she shares how to pick yourself up when life knocks you down and how to find the strength to fight. She managed to turn her life around from a really dark place, with seemingly no way out, and get to living the best life she could possibly live. Her ordeal gave her the perspective to live a more mindful and fulfilled life.
