35 Years Later: A Novel Inspired by True Events

In 1970's Apartheid South Africa, 17 year-old Marc wins an American Exchange Scholarship. In the U.S. he falls in love with Laura, and a countdown begins for an inevitable separation across the Atlantic Ocean. "She had fallen deeply in love with a stranger from another part of the world. Tomorrow he would be gone. She had known this day would come, but nothing had prepared her for the heartbreak she felt. Yet she would do it all over again." Soon after his departure, an unexpected turn of events occurs and shatters Laura's vow to wait for Marc.
