Tom is a young boy who works as a chimney sweep. His master Grimes'' mistreatment of him forces him to flee from him. His fate takes him to the sea world, where he becomes one of the "Water Children"! "Children of the Waters" is a fantasy novel that carries within it the search for meaning, experience, and an emphasis on high moral value, in the guise of myth. Diverse worlds of creatures, myths, seas, and inanimate objects intertwine seamlessly, as far as the characters are removed from reality. To the extent that the events deal with the nature of the human soul, with all its cruelty and sweetness, its beauty and its brutality, on the tongues of non-human beings, juxtaposing in their words playful humor and conclusive wisdom.
