This book is considered a reference reference for Chinese family surnames, as it contains 504 surnames. Its importance lies in the comprehensiveness of the surnames in terms of their origins, the relationship between each surname and the other, and the stories of each surname in an easy and simplified story. The book also deals with the stories of famous people and their customs, such as the chaste "e;Xu Yu"e; who used to run to the river to wash his ears, the story of "e;Mulan"e; who disguises herself and joins the army instead of her father, and the story of preventing marriage for those with the same surname, by the writer: Bi Yan Li, which is one of the translations of House of Wisdom.
