In this poem, "e;Susie Q Gets a BMT(Bone Marrow Transplant),"e; Dr. Sue introduces us to Suzie Q , a happy girl, who loves to dance and twirl. When Suzie Q is diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) and needs a BMT, her whole world is turned upside down. She's determined to get better and uses prayer and scientific knowledge to fight her battle. She shows gratitude to everyone on her medical oncology and transplant team and always smiles. Hopefully this will offer some help and inspiration to other young people who are undergoing SCT or BMT after a serious diagnosis.
