Restored Pronunciation of Greek and Latin

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The project has also received the approval of the Court and Senate of the University, and it may therefore be considered that these bodies desire to see some such uniform system of pronunciation adopted in the teaching and examinations Of the University. We are confident that, in course of time, the principles we here advocate will win increasing approval from the general body of classical scholars: but we look to the criticisms of others, and to the test of experience, to add not a little in detail to the scientific and practical value of the scheme. Meanwhile we hope that it will be favourably considered, in the first instance, by all who are interested in classical studies in Wales.
