After several major earthquakes, a rift in the Veil between the human world, and the world of the creatures of myth was formed. This rift has become more stable, allowing it to remain open entirely. The creatures of the Veil are known as Veilkin in general. The rift is still new enough for Veilkin to need a host to help them survive outside the Veil. This is called a Master/Slave bond. The bond works like so: The human host gives their Veilkin their life energy, also known as their soul, in return for extended life. A human that is bonded with a Veilkin cannot die, by any means, unless the Veilkin they are bound to dies. Follow 2nd generation Psychic, Raya Misten, as she is swept away into the world of a Veilkin blue blood, Prince Raven. Cain, Raven's older brother, seems to have become obsessed with Raya.
