Abel Lanoza leaves a psychiatric center after thirty months of institutionalization and tries to resume his life with his wife, Merci, and their son, Jorge, but everything is going against him. His only chance for recovery is the inheritance of his uncle, who recently committed suicide in the village of Muirdelmas, in the remote Tenenca de Benivasa region.
