Mus Jojo Collier was born in the seventies in the WestAfrican state of Sierra Leone. He did the sciencesbut his love for the arts saw him embrace literaturein English and fine and performing arts. He sings, writes songs,plays, poems and prose. The brutal ten-year war in his nativecountry forced him into exile in the neighboring Guinea, wherehe learnt French. Most of the poems in this collection were inspired by emotionsand experiences by him and real life people he watched fromclose and far distances. Poetry is stories artistically compressedin few lines.
