Introduction to Physical Geography

This book tries to present the foundation of Physical Geography-Lithosphere, Atmosphere and Hydrosphere, in a very precise and simple understandable language for the students of graduate and postgraduate classes in Geography. Effort is also made to introduce the Geography subject in brief with the emphasis on the detailed discussion on geomorphology. It also incorporates the applied study of climatology and Geomorphology in the present context. The book is consisting of 27 chapters. Chapter 1 deals with the introduction of Geography as a discipline. Chapter 2 describes about the different theories regarding the origin of the earth. Chapters 3-14 are devoted to illustrate the study of lithosphere. Chapters 15-23 for climatology and Chapters 24-27 for oceanography. The book is also equipped with suitable explanatory diagrams derived from some valuable books, on this field, from the world's publication.
