On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, on the authority of the Prophet, may God''s prayers and peace be upon him, that he said: "Taqi al-Din al-Subki (683 - 756 AH / 1284 - 1355 AD), the Shafi''i jurist, the Sufi, the hadith scholar, the memorizer, the interpreter, the reciter, the fundamentalist, the speaker, grammarian, linguist, writer, wise, logician, controversialist, debater, and supervisor. He is called "the Sheikh of Islam and the judge of judges." He is the father of the jurist Taj al-Din al-Subki.
