Circe (pronounced seer-say) is how Joelle Circe Laramee prefers to be addressed regarding her art. She is a queer feminist, an atheist, and a woman of transexual origin. Breaking Free, 45 years in the wrong body, is more than a memoir. It is a window to the artist's soul, with many raw and honest stories describing her journey towards womanhood.
