If art can be an inheritance, acclaimed singer-songwriter Emma Ruth Rundle's life has been rich with inspiration: from her grandfather, a renowned actor, and her father, a contemporary pianist. Her debut poetry collection, The Bella Vista, is inspired by the piano works of Harold Budd on the album La Bella Vista, and childhood memories of her fathers own improvised piano reveries in their LA apartment.For twenty years, Emma has pursued music as her primary medium, evoking dreamy abstraction, exploring textural maximalism, and embracing her own vulnerability with a guitar, a piano, and the sound of her voice.
