Aspects of Plant Sciences: Pteridophytes their Morphology, Cytology, Taxonomy and Phytogeny

In addition to some original research contributions on the Indian members of ferns and fern allies, review articles on the phylogeny and classification of ferns in particular, are included here. The Indian members of Pteridophytes are not very well known in terms of their morphology, ecology, distribution, taxonomy, cytology, etc. and there are large tracts of the country which still lie unexplored. It is hoped that the present volume in conjunction with the earlier one, will go a long way in arousing interest of plant scientists of India in Pteridology and would also be helpful in promoting the teaching of this discipline in the Indian universities.
