A linguistic message about Egyptian ranks and titles

The book "A Linguistic Treatise on Egyptian Ranks and Titles" is truly a unique dictionary. It bears witness to its era, a guide for those who came after it, and illuminates the path for scholars and lovers of knowledge. In his book, the author traces the sequence of ranks followed in Egypt (at that time) in an organized and precise manner, without overwhelming the reader. He organized the ranks according to their subject in terms of military ranks, royal (civilian), ranks of Al-Azhar scholars, and ranks of its graduates. He devoted almost half of the book to military ranks, which indicates the importance of the army and the care taken to organize it during that period. The author also took care to mention the history of each rank. It is worth noting that this book was not written for the purpose of publication, but rather Ahmed Taymour wrote it to be a guide for the committee entrusted with restructuring and Arabizing the Egyptian ranks.
